Baseball: Mustangs, Bobcats nab big tourney wins

EVADALE – The West Orange-Stark Mustangs made quick work of two foes at the Evadale Tournament Friday.
The Mustangs zipped past Beaumont Central 14-7.
BB Tezeno got the win on the hill for the Mustangs and also went 2-for-3 at the plate and scored a pair of runs.
Jack Dallas was 3-for-3 with a two-run home run. Te’ron Brown was also 3-for-3 while Ryan Ragsdale was 2-for-4 with three runs batted in.
The Mustangs belted Deweyville 21-0 in just two frames of work.
Every starter in the Mustang lineup roped at least one hit.
Ragsdale and Jack Dallas each had three hits. Chad Dallas stroked a two-run homer while Keyshawn Holman and Tezeno each added two hits.

LUMBERTON — The Orangefield Bobcats defeated Buna in the Lumberton Tournament Friday by a score of 11-1. Mack Patterson threw a five-inning complete game to pick up the win, scattering four hits. Dylan Anthony led the Bobcats with 4 fourits. Kent
Michael, Brett Fregia, and Mason Gonzales each collected two hits, and Mack Patterson collected three RBI. The Bobcats move to 7-1 on the season.
