Man suffers injuries in house fire

Man suffered third degree burns in a house fire on Wednesday afternoon at the 2200 block of Alvin street in Orange.
The Little Cypress Fire Department responded and was assisted by firefighters from the City of Orange, Pinehurst, Deweyville and South Newton County ESD 4 according to Little Cypress Fire Chief Matt Manshack.
The man inside the home was rushed to a Beaumont hospital for treatment.
The front bedroom and kitchen area of the home sustained serious fire damage.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
