Michael Savignano, left, a teacher at St. Mary Catholic School was formerly in the military.  Besides teaching middle school science, he instructs and enforce proper protocol of raising and displaying the United States and Texas flags to students. He is instructing two Kindergarten students, Luke Laughlin and Katie Boehme, on proper flag etiquette.
