Valli Lott, Orange County transportation director, will resign in January, according to Orange County Judge Brint Carlton. Carlton made the announcement during Commissioners Court on Tuesday.

Lott replaced Donna Minter, who retired Jan. 2015.

“The position will be posted so we may begin the process,” Carlton said.

Other opening within the county is a Part Time Transportation Driver in Transportation.

The position is requires a CDL license with P endorsement. Works four to five and a half hours per day and must be able to accommodate wheel chairs, special needs and elderly assistance. Must have knowledge of Orange and Vidor area.

Parks Department is seeking a Park Attendant, a part-time position. Requirements include: Must be available to work weekends and some holidays, ability to lift 80lbs without assistance, be self motivated and able to work independently. Good driving record, able to follow dress code and possess a valid drivers license.

Road and Bridge department is seeking a Truck Driver NE3. The position is described as: Provides operation of light and heavy tonnage trucks within a specified area to transport materials, equipment or workers as instructed. In addition to operation of 14-yard dump truck, the work includes operation of various road equipment and general work, according to a posting at the county website.

The County Treasurer is seeking to fill an Assistant Payroll Clerk (Clerk III) position with one with two years experience in payroll. Job related work experience in bank

reconciliations, Excel and Word are considered a must.

Management Information Systems has an opening for PC/Network Technician to provide provides hardware and software support for users in county offices and assists with daily backups of servers. This individual will build, repair and troubleshoot PC’s, printers, and help maintain the county WAN and LAN networks.
