Texas local sales tax allocations for November, 0.8 percent more than in November 2015, according to Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar.

These allocations are based on sales made in September by businesses that report tax monthly, and sales made in July, August and September by quarterly filers.

“The cities of San Antonio, Fort Worth and Plano saw noticeable increases in sales tax allocations,” Hegar said. “The cities of Houston and Midland saw significant decreases in sales tax allocations.”

The numbers for the Orange County area showed a drop for all cities and the county except for Pine Forest which showed a 50.21 percent increase from $4,813.30 last year to $7,230.15 for the same period. Bridge City also showed an increase from $146,454.64 to $ 190,655.43, a 30.18 percent increase. For year to date, Bridge City shows a negative 7.27 percent decrease from $1,546,433.40 last year and $1,433,895.24 year to day in 2016.

The City of Orange showed a decrease of 19.16 percent from last year. However, for the year to date, the city is showing a 2.64 percent increase for year-to-date collections of sales tax.

The county also showed a decrease of negative 6.74 percent in sales tax for this period, with $471,277.72 last year to $439,509.85 this year. Overall for year to date, the county shows a negative 7.28 percent for year to date collections.

Overall, the area shows a negative 9.85 percent decrease in over all sales tax for this period and a negative 2.14 percent overall for year to date.
