Orange County, TX – June 8, at approximately 8:30 a.m., Orange County DPS troopers responded to the scene of a two vehicle crash on SH 62 at the intersection of North Ridge Drive. The preliminary crash investigation indicates a 2005 International truck was stopped and facing north on SH 62 waiting to turn left onto North Ridge Drive when it was struck from behind by a 2014 Dodge van. The driver of the International truck was identified as Walter Lee Bean, 49, from Orange, TX. A passenger riding with Bean was transported to a Beaumont hospital for precautionary measures. The driver of the Dodge van was identified as Eddie Urbina, 29, from Jasper, TX. Urbina was pronounced deceased at the scene by Orange County Justice of the Peace Derry Dunn. This crash remains under investigation. No additional information is available at this time.
