Approval has been received from Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) to implement Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Programs (DSNAP) as a result of the March 7 severe storms and flooding in two cities within Newton County. Individuals seeking assistance may apply onsite beginning Monday, May 16, 2016 through Thursday, May 19, 2016 at the following sites as indicated by their zip code:

Individuals applying for DSNAP must actually have lived in the disaster area at the time of the storms, must have suffered loss or damages and must bring verification of their identity to the site when applying.  The sites will open daily at 9am and close at 6pm.  More detailed communications documents regarding eligibility requirements will be distributed to the Ombudsman, external relations, and our community partner network in the impacted areas tomorrow.
