Russell Hebert

Russell Hebert, 73, of Port Arthur, died Sunday, March 20, 2016. A native and lifelong resident of the area, he was born on November 11, 1942, in Port Arthur, to Emma LeBoeuf and Wilson Hebert.

Russell was a United States National Guard veteran and a 1961 graduate of Bridge City High School. He retired from Long’s Warehouse Furniture in Orange after more than thirty years and was currently employed with Boomtown Furniture. Russell was an avid bowler for over forty-one years and enjoyed cooking and sports, especially basketball. He will be remembered as a loving father and PaPa Abear.

Survivors include his daughters, Angie Williams and  husband, Kevin and Amy Stephens and  husband, Kyle, all of Orange; grandchildren, Sydney, Bailey, and Kayne Williams and Lane Stephens; the love of his life, Charlotte LeBlanc of Beaumont; sisters, Betty Evatt of Lubbock and Mary Granger of Bridge City; and brother, Terry Hebert of Beaumont. He is preceded in death by his parents.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Altus Hospice and Dr. Calvin Parker for the special care they gave Mr. Hebert.

A gathering of Mr. Hebert’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, March 24, 2016, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 25, 2016, at Broussard’s, Nederland. A private family committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
