LITTLE CYPRESS — The Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bears dropped a 53-35 District 24-4A decision to the Hardin-Jefferson Hawks at The Bear Cave Friday night.

The Hawks (4-0 in district) outscored the Bears (1-3 in district) 14-2 in the first quarter and then held the Bears off.

Katon Brown had a double-double for LC-M, scoring 14 points and snaring 10 rebounds.

H-J’s Eli Parquet scored 28 points. He hit six three-pointers and was 10-for-10 from the free-throw line while Michael Saladin added 15 points.

The Bears will visit WO-S Tuesday.
