Local law firm Brent Coon and Associates will hold three town hall meetings Thursday night to answer questions about legal proceedings related to last week’s chemical release in Orange.
The meetings will be held July 25 at the Orange Train Depot Museum located at 1210 W. Green Ave. in Orange. The first session begins at 4 p.m., followed by two more at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.
The meetings will try to answer as many questions as possible for local residents. Medical professionals have also been invited.
Last week, Brent Coon and Associates filed lawsuits and a temporary restraining order in response to a chemical release which left large sections of Orange County under a shelter-in-place order for several hours.
The release of ethyl acrylate came from the flaring of a railcar at Eagle Railcar Services in West Orange. The substance is a known irritant and caused multiple people to seek medical care.
