That National Weather Service warns another cold night is on tap Tuesday, followed by some warmer temperatures on Thursday.
“We also have some stormy weather in the offing,” meteorologist Doug Cramer said.
A Wind Chill Advisory is in place until noon Tuesday for Southeast Texas and portions of southwest, central and south central Louisiana.
Single digit wind chill values were common across Southeast Texas Tuesday.
Wind chills will once again drop into the single digits Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.
For much of Tuesday, temperatures are likely to range from the low 30s to the middle 30s.
Most locations will receive a few hours slightly above freezing Tuesday afternoon.
Temperatures will quickly drop below freezing once the sun sets this evening.

Wind chills ranging from 10 to 20 degrees Tuesday into Wednesday morning.

All locations will experience 14 to 20 hours of sub-freezing temperatures Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.
