Orange Community Players are looking for witty, intelligent, and above all, “real characters” as auditions are scheduled for Steel Magnolias.

Auditions are set for 7 p.m. Mon., Nov. 2 and 8 p.m. Tues., Nov. 3 at Orange Community Players, 708 West Division in Orange.

Parts available are:

Truvy Jones, 40-ish and owner of the beauty shop.

Annelle Dupuy-Desoto, 19, Beauty shop assistant.

Shelby Eatenton-Latcherie, 25, Prettiest girl in town.

Ouiser (pronounced “Weezer”) Boudreaux, 66ish.

The parts of Clairee Belcher and M’Lynn Eatenton have been pre-cast

Read-thru for the production are planned in November with rehearsals beginning in December prior to the holidays and thru the month of January. Rehearsals are generally between 6:30 p.m. – 10 p.m. during the week.

The show opens in February.

Show dates are February 11,12,13, 18,19, 20 and Sunday matinees on the 14 and 21, 2016.
