Meth found at traffic stop
On Feb. 22, an Orange County Sheriff’s Office Deputy conducted a traffic stop north of FM 1130 in Orange.
The OCSO deputy suspected the driver and occupants of the vehicle were involved in criminal activity. A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of a large bag of contraband believed to be methamphetamines, according to information from the Sheriff’s Office.
After further investigation, the driver of the vehicle was placed under arrest. The driver was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and booked into the Orange County Jail.
The name of the individual was not released.
Multiple types of drugs located during traffic stop
On Feb. 23, an Orange County Sheriff’s Office Deputy conducted a traffic stop on
Main Street in Vidor, south of IH-10. The OCSO deputy suspected the driver, who was the lone occupant of the vehicle, was involved in criminal activity. A search of the driver’s vehicle resulted in the seizure of a large quantity of contraband believed to be methamphetamines, cocaine, fentanyl, marijuana, and psilocybin (mushrooms), according to information from the Sheriff’s Office.
A large amount of US currency was also found in the vehicle.
The driver, whose name was not released, was placed under arrest on a charge of felony possession of a controlled substance. The driver was booked into the Orange County Jail.
