A free upcoming health fair provided by the Oran’Je Chapter of the Top Ladies of Distinction will provide Southeast Texas with an informative session about diabetes.
The health fair will include blood pressure checks, presentations on diabetes awareness and information from a local attorney about medical-related legal matters.
“Being a female-run organization, we wanted to do a health fair for our ladies,” Top Lady Ola Kindle said.
This is the first time the organization has hosted a health-centered event. It will be completely free to attendees.
“We are a nonprofit organization and we do things for community service,” Kindle said. “ We want to get out into the community and offer it to everyone.”
Kindle noted that while the Top Ladies of Distinction is an organization for women, anyone is welcome to attend the health fair.
The event will be held Sep. 14 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Wesley United Methodist Church in Orange. It is located at 401 N. 37th St.
