County Judge John Gothia has rescinded the Order of Closure of the Cow Bayou waterway around the Highway 105 Bridge in Orangefield.

The waterway was closed due to the cleanup operation from an oil spill. The waterway is now open to through boat traffic, however there are still containment booms located on the banks of both sides of Cow Bayou and cleanup crews are continuing to work in that area. Caution should be taken if traversing the area.
