ORANGEFIELD — The military and social officers of the Orangefield High School Sophisticats attended the American Dance and Drill Team officer camp in Rockwall, learning leadership and bonding skills to help this year’s team be successful.

The officers came home with various awards.

Military officers received Diamond Sweepstakes for their home routine, camp dance and creative choreography routine.

They also received Grand Champions of the week.

Social officers received Award of Excellence for the week, All American social officers for day one, Most Admired social team for day two and Gussie Nell Davis award for the week.

Social Officer President Mina Webb received Outstanding Social Officer.

All American honorable mentions went to Lt. Elyse Gunter, Lt. Tyia McKnight and Vice President Lexi Baggett.

Captain Blair Butler received All American, Outstanding Performer and All American Dance Company.
