A man arrested in connection with the theft of several trailers has bonded out of jail.
Brodrick Guillory, 24, of Beaumont was arrested Sunday on two counts of theft of property; one with a $500 bond and the other with a $2,000 bond.
He was released Monday, according to information from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
The crimes spanned from Orange to Beaumont, officials said.
The incident began shortly after 10 a.m. Sunday when a person called to report a stolen trailer in the 6600 block of Ashby Way in Orange.
While on scene, an Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputy developed information that led to a suspect in the Beaumont area, OCSO Captain Joey Jacobs said.
Beaumont Police Department officers arrived at the 3900 block of Treadway Road to assist the Orange County Sheriff’s Office in locating the stolen trailer.
Officers reportedly found the suspect vehicle, a Ford F-250, as well as a trailer that had been reported stolen from Beaumont Sunday morning.
A suspect was located in the truck and was detained, then taken to the auto theft task force to speak with detectives.
Following the interview, detectives were able to go to two locations in Beaumont and recover two trailers that had recently been stolen from Orange County.
Guillory was arrested at the scene.
The thefts remains under investigation.
