ORANGEFIELD — The DOW Corporation, East Texas Hub, offers acceptance into its apprenticeship program each year.
Apprenticeship consists of hands-on work experience at one of DOW’s chemical plants, a company-paid associate’s degree from Lamar State College Orange, salary with competitive pay, paid holidays and vacation and medical insurance.
After 12 months of service, there is a 401k plan.
With more than 450 applications submitted to DOW for participation in the apprenticeship program, 10 were chosen.
Of the 10 chosen, three were Orangefield High School Students.
Colin Dale Dorman, Ethan Christopher Blackburn and Ezequiel Yanez Macias are recipients into the DOW Apprenticeship Program.
“Congratulations to DOW for choosing three fantastic young men, and congratulations to Colin, Ethan and Ezequiel for this life-changing opportunity,” a release from the school district stated.
