Benoit, Cardinals roll past Kirbyville in Jasper tourney

JASPER – The Bridge City Cardinals pounded the Kirbyville Wildcats 10-1 in the second day of action at the Jasper Tournament Friday as Kade Benoit drove in five Cardinal runs and had two hits.
Slade Foreman tossed four innings to get the win on the mound for the Cardinals (13-0-1) while Jaxon Luna and Tanner Wilson also saw mound time.
The Cardinals pounded out 12 hits while Kirbyvile had four.
Peyton Havard also had two hits and Wilson had a RBI.
