Cardinals zap Longview in Jasper Tournament

JASPER – The Bridge City Cardinals belted Longview 9-2 in their first game at the Jasper Tournament Thursday.
The Cardinals (12-0-1) pounded out 10 hits in the big win while Longview had just four.
Peyton Havard work all six innings and piled up a whopping 13 strikeouts.
Logan Hamm paced the Cardinals at the plate with three hits and three runs batted in.
Tanner Wilson also had a pair of hits while Colby Collins drove in two runs.
