Jennifer Restauri Dickinson, Curator of Education, comments, “We’re thrilled to host an Opening Reception to give our community a special sneak peek at this engaging and dynamic exhibition. The Drawing Experience is an incredible opportunity for our visitors to get an inside look at how artists use the art of drawing. We have selected a range of drawings from our collection that show a variety of techniques and approaches artists use, and I know visitors of all ages will enjoy the participatory approach of this exhibition from experimenting with different media through digital platforms to using light tables and a 21st-century twist on a 300-year old drawing tool called a camera lucida.”
