Sally Jones Hudson

Sally Jones Hudson was 100 years old at the time of her death on November 8th, 2019. She was born on October 7th, 1919 in Bessmay, Texas and was the oldest of five children born to Bill and Auzela Jones.
Sally graduated from Stephen F. Austin college in Nacogdoches, Texas, married Otis L. Hudson and they lived and raised three children in Orange, Texas. Sally later moved to Lake Charles, LA. where she lived for many happy years.
Sally’s church, St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal, was very important to her and she was a member of Daughters of the King. She wore the cross of that group until she passed away. Teaching first grade was her profession and love which she did for forty-two years in Orange, Tx. and in Lake Charles, LA.
The game of bridge was one of her favorite activities and she achieved the distinction of “Life Master”. Sally had three children: Pat Hudson Clark married to Scot Clark, of Montgomery, Tx, Jim Hudson married to Bonnie Hudson and living in Austin, and Jack and Kelly Hudson of Scottsdale, Arizona. She had six grandchildren, several great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved and enjoyed.
A service to celebrate Sally’s life is to be Saturday, December 7th, 2019, 2 P.M. at St. Michael’s in Lake Charles, LA. All friends are invited to a reception before the service at 1 pm in the parish hall
