Grand Opening for new City Hall set for Sept. 12

Office furniture has been moved and the boxes unpacked.
The City of Orange is hosting a Grand Opening for the new location of City Hall at 4 p.m. at 812 16th Street in Orange.
Greater Orange Area Chamber of Commerce will kick off the festivities with a ribbon-cutting.
Orange Mayor Larry Spears Jr. will give an opening statement which will be followed by refreshments.
The new location has been in operations since Aug. 19.
All phone numbers and email addresses will remain the same.
Offices included in the moving are City Manager, City Secretary, Economic Development, Finance, Customer Service (water bill payments), Personnel and the Convention and Visitors Bureau.
At the former Orange City Hall, it housed the Personnel office and Billing and Collection office on the first floor of the building. The offices of the City Manager, City Secretary, and Finance Department were located on the second floor.
Orange City Hall, 803 West Green Avenue, was originally the home of E.W. Brown, Jr., a prominent Orange businessman and philanthropist. The City of Orange purchased the building in 1944.
Orange Convention and Visitors Bureau was located behind the building.
