City of Pinehurst officials are keeping an eye on the storm in the Gulf.

In preparation for the possibility of a tropical storm or hurricane hitting our area this week, the City of Pinehurst will be providing a sandbagging station to its residents.

The station will begin operation on Thursday, July 11,  from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) building located at the very end of Lexington Drive.

Proof of residency is required and you must bring your own shovels to fill the sand bags.

City workers will not be available to fill the sand bags for our residents.

The station will remain open each day until supplies are exhausted or inclement weather deems it unsafe.
