Lady Cardinal Carpenter sets new PR, heading to State in high jump

HUNTSVILLE — Bridge City standout freshman Caryss Carpenter will be heading to the Class 4A State Track Championships in May after she cleared a personal-best 5-5 in the high jump to finish second Friday at the 4A Region III Championships at Sam Houston State University.
