BEAUMONT – The Orangefield boys and girls golf teams had an amazing day at the District 22-3A Golf Championships held at Brentwood Country Club Wednesday.

On the boys side, Logan Risinger captured top medalist honors while on the girls side Peyton Beebe won top medalist.

Risinger won the top medalist honors by firing an 83. That helped the Bobcats win the overall boys team title. The team consisting of Risinger, Hunter Christman, Ryan Braxton, Blake Love, Chase Broussard and Kyle Pickard fired a team score of 373. That was good enough to topple second-place Buna (394) by 21 strokes.

Beebe took the girls title by firing a 103.

Buna won the girls title but the Lady Bobcat team consisting of Beebe, Natalee Smith, Emmi Lummus and Jasleigh Montagne eaned second as a unit and will advance to regionals.
