NWS Lake Charles weather update

PRESS RELEASE — The National Weather Service in Lake Charles is expecting a wet pattern to continue tonight through Saturday evening, when a cold front will pass through. We are anticipating Sunday to be dry!
Rain totals between now and Saturday night will average around an inch, with locally higher amounts of three inches possible. Expect to see some minor street flooding during periods of the heavier rains.
In addition, there is a very small, marginal risk for strong to severe storms late Friday into early Saturday morning. The risk region is primarily east Texas and central Louisiana.
