The Orange Leader
Orange Fire Department is investigating the cause of an early morning store fire.
Fire fighters, at approximately 8 a.m. Friday, responded to the Texas Food Store located at 305 Burton in Orange.
According to a witness, as she was passing the store she noticed heavy smoke and flames coming from the building and called 911.
The store was on fire with flames and smoke coming from the front roof of the building as firefighters arrived.
The store was closed at the time, so the burglar bars on the building made it more difficult for fighters to battle the flames, as they could not enter the
building. They were forced to pry the doors open to extinguish the blaze.
The store received major smoke, fire, and water damages.
No injuries were reported.
The fire remains under investigation by the Orange Fire Department.
