An Orange Police Officer, while on patrol at approximately 9 a.m. Thursday, saw Pinehurst Police Department conducting a traffic stop at the 3400 block of Martin.
At that time, a man was already in handcuffs, according to the police report and due to outstanding warrants, was in need of being transported to the Orange County jail.
Another man was also in custody and was in the back of a patrol vehicle.
Due the vehicle only having a half caged area, One arrestee would have to ride in the front with one officer while the second arrestee was in the back and another officer rode in the encaged area of the back seat.
The Orange police officer transported one of the arrestees to the Orange County Jail and released him back to the Pinehurst Police Officers after arriving at the jail.
