Orange County Disaster Rebuild’s Taste of the Bayou was a big success Tuesday night at the Orange County Convention and Expo Center.
“We are so excited about the participation of local vendors taking advantage of this opportunity to show what they have to offer and help raise money,” said Board Member Kimberly Stiebig.
There were plenty of hungry folks on hand to ‘taste test’ the wide array of food offerings.
Steibig said more than three hundred came to enjoy the food, live entertainment and opportunity to socialize with area residents.
Michelle Stubblefield and Ida Schossow, board members of Orange County Disaster Rebuild, accepted a donation from CFMA Gulf Coast Cajuns Chapter Rusty Benoit and Debbie Sattler during the event.
“I liked the Chicken Florentine with white sauce and dirty rice from Tuffy’s,” said Iberia Smith. Smith and her husband, Benny Smith, were among those sampling vendor offerings.
Judy Wilson, Sandra Sears and Loretta Brown tried their share of the foods but just couldn’t pick a favorite.
