Culinary Chef Plans Golden K Visit

Chef Monica Woodford Cobb of Beaumont but a native of Kirbyville, will be the Orange Golden K Kiwanis featured guest at its weekly meeting at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 19, at the Orange Salvation Army Building at the corner of MLK and Strickland (also known as Old Highway 90), across from a Shell service station and an Orange Fire Department facility. The professionally-trained chef and her portrait-artist husband have owned Monica’s Restaurant for about three years. The chef has worked under Wolfgang Puck at Spago’s in Los Angeles, on a steamboat in Cairo, Egypt on the Nile River, owned food trucks, and graduated culinary school, only to name a few things. The public is welcome to attend the Golden K meeting and enjoy a cup of Joe at 9:30 a.m. Wed., Sept. 19.
