VIDOR — The Rick Miller Relays were held at Claiborne Park Saturday morning with a slew of runners participating in the event.

In the varsity boys four-mile relay in which 40 relay duos competed, Nederland’s Barboza and Mortera won with a time of 22:39.59. LC-M’s Turner and Peveto were second with a 23:08.85.

Bridge City’s Rhodes and Shaw took fourth with a 23:35.36. Orangefield’s Strause and Wrinkle nabbed sixth with a 25:06.36. Bridge City’s Garlaska and Young were 15^th with a 26:02.51. Bridge City’s Graham and Borque placed 19^th with a 26:32.75 and Orangefield’s Moore and Scogin were 20^th with a 26:39.41.

Seven teams competed with Splendora winning the team title followed by Nederland and Bridge City.

In the varsity girls four-mile relay in which 44 duos competed, the sister duo of Orangefield’s Helm and Helm won with a time of 27:24. Bridge City’s Sheffield and Smith were third with a 29:02 followed by teammates Dunigan and Thomason (11^th, 31:41).

Nine teams competed in the field as Splendora won the team title followed by Nederland and Orangefield.
