Parolee arrested for narcotics possession, again

PRESS RELEASE — On Tuesday, August 21st, 2018 at approximately 6:30PM, Investigators with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division along the City of Orange Police Department Narcotics Division were working their assigned duties within the City of Vidor, Orange County, Texas.
Investigators observed a silver Dodge Caravan following a vehicle too closely and failing to signal lane changes along North Main Street in Vidor. Investigators conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle and a white male recognized as Todd Russell Alford II was observed to be operating the vehicle. Both the driver and the passenger were observed moving objects in the vehicle.
The passenger was identified as 29 year old Juliana Lourde.
A search of the vehicle was conducted and investigators located approximately 34 grams of a clear crystal like substance that due to their past training and experience investigators believed to be methamphetamine. Also located with the methamphetamine was a 9mm semi-automatic pistol.
Both subjects were transported to the Orange County Correctional Facility and booked into jail.
Both subjects remain in the Orange County Correctional Facility this morning.
Alford’s bond was set at $25,000 for Possession of a Controlled Substance (Felony 2) and $15,000 for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a convicted Felon (F3).
Lourde’s bond was set at $25,000 for Possession of a Controlled Substance (F2) and $2,500 for Unlawful Carrying a Firearm (Class a Misdemeanor).
This is the second time in 30 days these two have been arrested for similar drug offenses.
