PRESS RELEASE — All eastbound and westbound traffic lanes on Interstate 10 in Jefferson County are closed.  The overturned commercial motor vehicle is near mile marker 842.
Initial reports indicate that an 18-wheeler was attempting to use an emergency crossover when his vehicle overturned.
All traffic lanes of Interstate 10 are closed due to hazardous cargo contained in the tanker.
State Troopers and Deputies with Jefferson County Sheriffs Office are on the scene. Motorists are urged to avoid the area and find alternate travel routes.
