SOUR LAKE — Led by Jalen Sneed’s 37 points, the Hardin-Jefferson Hawks downed the Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bears 71-58 in non-district action at Hawks Gym Tuesday.

Katon Brown paced the Bears (13-10) with 20 points while Braden Bridges filtered in 16.

The Bears will visit Liberty Tuesday to wrap up their non-district slate before opening up District 22-4A play at home Jan. 12 against Bridge City.

In other action, the Vidor boys toppled Livingston 70-41 in District 22-5A play and the Vidor Lady Pirates downed Livingston 45-40. The Hardin-Jefferson Lady Hawks ran past the West Orange-Stark Lady Mustangs 70-35.
