Shed fire destroys home

VIDOR — A shed fire is believed to be responsible for a fire that totaled a home on New Years Day. Orange County ESD-1 responded to a report of a structure fire at 1605 Dogwood in south Vidor at approximately 1 a.m. Monday.

According to information obtained on the scene from fire officials, when they arrived the shed was fully involved, and the fire quickly spread to the home.
No one was home and no injuries were reported from the fire.
Bridge City Fire Department assisted.
