UPDATE: Rollover Crash on Interstate 10 in Orange closes eastbound feeder road

UPDATE: A 2001 Ford F150 pickup truck was traveling eastbound on Interstate 10. For an unknown reason, the driver drifted off the roadway to the right and traveled across the grass median. As the vehicle traveled across the grass median, the vehicle struck a dirt embankment, vaulted into the air and struck a concrete wall. After colliding with the concrete wall, the vehicle caught fire.
The driver, 25-year-old Paul Jerome Vail Johnson II of Louisiana, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Johnson was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle.

PRESS RELEASE — At approximately 6:30a.m., the Texas Department of Public Safety received a report of a one vehicle rollover crash on Interstate 10 in Orange County. The crash occurred near FM 1442.
Troopers are in route to the crash scene; therefore, detailed crash information is not available at this time.
Initial reports indicate that a Ford pickup truck was traveling eastbound on Interstate 10. For an unknown reason, the driver lost control and rolled over before coming to rest.
The Texas Department of Public Safety can confirm that the driver of the Ford pickup truck has been pronounced deceased and Troopers are working to positively identify the victim.
Motorists should stay alert for emergency vehicles and slow moving traffic. Expect delays.
