ESD 4 to hold election for tax increase

City councils and school boards are not the only elections in May. Orange County Emergency Services District 4 is holding an election for the proposition of adopting a tax rate of 1.5 percent.
“The increase of the ad valorem tax rate in Orange County Emergency Services District No. 4 from the rate of .03 cents per $100 valuation to the rate of .06 cents per $100 valuation for the purposes of maintenance and use the Orange County Emergency Services District No. 4,” according to a public notice in this edition of The Orange Leader.
Early voting starts on April 14 until May 2, 2017 at Orange County Emergency Services District No. 4 fire building which is located at 10691 State Hwy. 62 in Orange.

Monday, April 24 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Tuesday, April 25 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Wednesday, April 26 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Thursday, April 27 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Friday, April 28 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Monday, May 1 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Tuesday, May 2 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The last day to register to vote is Thursday, April 6, 2017. Early election begins April 24 – May 2, 2017. Election is 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, May 6, 2017 at the Orange County Emergency Services District No. 4 fire building.
