Students in a summer reading camp sponsored by Vidor Rotary Club and Vidor ISD Community Education were treated to a visit from Houston artist Hope Shiver of Young Audiences of Southeast Texas.  She was sponsored in part by a grant from Texas Commission on the Arts, a non-profit organization helping provide fine arts opportunities in Texas.  The workshop lasted for two mornings, and the students were able to bring a book to life. The book chosen was Mr. Peabody’s Apples, written by Madonna.
