We, Official Stuntinn Hard Ridaz, are more than just a trail ride group, we are a nonprofit organization that gives back to our community. Our organization accomplishes its mission by fundraising, hosting community events, donating educational supplies/financial hardships; volunteering with elderly, cognitive, mental, and physical impairments. We also make contributions to various churches and charities.
Just beginning in June of 2015, we’ve been able to sponsor, host, and/or participate in events and activities that promote positivity in our community. We held a “Fun Day” not only for the members and family, but also for the open community. It consisted of free food for everyone, kid friendly activities, horseback riding, etc. We’ve held many fundraising events, which included live zydeco performances by Leon Chavis, Keith Frank, and Lil Nathan and the Zydeco Big Timers.
Thanks to those events, we were able to raise money for our “Back to School Drive”, which involved us giving away school supplies. We were also able to assist Mount Calvary Baptist Church of Orange with “Feeding 500” for Thanksgiving. Psalm 147:3 “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds”. The tragic loss of a mother and child, Ava and Lamyah, not only hit the community hard, but brought us together. Matthew 19:14 But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” We gave away dinners to the community and accepted donations to help the family with any burial costs. At the end of 2015 we participated in the Orange County Christmas Parade.
In just a six-month timespan, we have accomplished a lot as an organization. Not only are we growing, we are expanding, and coming together. Going forward into 2016, we, Official Stuntinn Hard Ridaz, not only have so much more we want to do, bring, and give back to support our community but also be able to go above and beyond our expectations. Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.” As long as we keep God first, we will succeed.
