Local volunteer and professional firefighters Daniel Eaves, left, Joe Pelaez and Aaron McNeil demonstrated and provided hands on experiences with the fire trucks and equipment recently at Orangefield High School. The men presented during Ms. Bridget Trawhon’s professional communications and Mr. Kevin Credeur’s choir classes on October 22, 2015. The purpose of the visit was to discuss fire prevention, recruit volunteers, promote career opportunities, and enforce Texas Safe Schools Week. According to freshman Geordan Grant, “it was a very knowledgeable experience learning about firefighters and their equipment.” Trevor Glawson was inspired to volunteer since he is sixteen and able to be a member of the fire department.
