Air Force Airman 1st Class Michael J. Small

Air Force Airman 1st Class Michael J. Small graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Small is the son of Darrin Small of Weatherford, Texas and Tina Williamson of Lake Charles, La., step-son of Debbie Small of Weatherford, Texas, and Robert Williamson of Lake Charles, La., and grandson of Pricilla and Michael Murray of Lake Charles, La. He is also the brother of Dawnelle Small and Samantha Trahan.

The airman graduated in 2009 from Sulphur High School, Sulphur, La.
