Fourth of July means business closings ahead of holiday

Independence Day holiday falls on Saturday this year, which means numerous business and government office closures on Friday for the extended weekend.
All city offices in Orange, West Orange, Pinehurst, Bridge City, Vidor, Rose City and Pine Forest will be closed for business Friday, July 3, and will re-open for normal business hours on Monday, July 6.
Despite being a holiday, garbage collection services for most communities of Orange County will run as scheduled.
All non-essential Orange County government offices will be closed on Friday as well, including the Orange County Courthouse.
The United States Postal Service will not deliver maile as it observes the Fourth of July holiday on Saturday, but it will resume normal mail delivery on Monday, July 6. Most federal offices will be closed on Friday as well.
Sabine Federal Credit Union and MCT Credit Union will be closed on Friday in observance of the Fourth of July holiday, as will most other credit unions. However, banks will be open on Friday and closed Saturday.
The Orange Leader office on Dal Sasso Drive will also be closed Friday in observance of the Fourth of July holiday and will reopen at 8 a.m., Monday. The weekend edition of The Orange Leader will be delivered on Friday since Saturday is the holiday.
