ORANGE —
A young Irish woman travels the ocean to search for her twin brother in America during the late 1800s.
Cara discovers her brother is alive after two years of believing his disappearance was due to his death.
She tries to keep her purpose in America a secret but starts to trust a young man whom she believes is a friend.
The story unfolds in such a way that one wants to savor the story as it is read.
The tale unfolds as more information is discovered by the reader concerning the actual events that caused the disappearance of Cara’s twin.
No Safe Harbor written by Elizabeth Ludwig of Orange, is 330 pages, published by Bethany House Publishers, Bloomington, Minnesota and was released in October 2012. The book is the first of a trilogy. The next book will be released in August 2013 and the final in 2014.
The book is exciting while heroine learns who she can and cannot trust in an foreign land. The story could be read alone but the author leaves the reader with just enough questions to leave anticipation for the next release.
The tale has underlying Christian tones which add to the story line as different characters struggle or rely on their faith through out. While Bethany House is known for Christian fiction, this book can be read and appreciated by readers of any faith.
I recommend this book to anyone who wants a good book to enjoy and look forward to the release of book two in the series.
