Orange County Health inspector recently inspected Sonic #5783, 11786 Highway 62 North in Mauriceville. The restaurant received a 100 out of a possible 100.

Demerits are for name and address needed on all bags of ice sold, need to date and label all foods in coolers, eighteen expired items on the shelves, chemicals being stored above paper towels and mold was found on the slushy-machine.
• Stop N Drive #21 located at 1510 Texas Avenue in Bridge City. Score: 96. Demerits are for 60 expired items on the shelves.
• Kwick Stop #4 located at 3110 16th Street in Orange. Score: 96. Demerits are for 80 expired items on the shelves.
• Vidor Supperette #2 located at 2410 North Main Street in Vidor. Score: 88. Demerits are for name and address needed on all bags of ice sold, 108 expired items on the shelves, and no hot water in the store.
• Valero Corner Store # 969 located at 1010 North Main Street in Vidor. Score: 96. Demerits are for 21 expired items on the shelves.

• Valero Corner Store #377 located at 7253 Interstate 10 East in Orange. Score: 96. Demerits are for several expired items on the shelf.

Demerits are for friend chicken and burritos not at safe temperatures, name and address needed on all bags of ice sold, bags of ice on the floor in the cooler, bait shrimp stored next to bas of ice, dishes found in the hand-washing sink, mice feces found in storage area, mold found on drink dispensers, the cappuccino machine in need of being cleaned and 196 expired items on the shelves.
• Texas Food Store located at 305 Burton Ave. in Orange. Score: 89. Demerits are for name and address needed on all bags of ice sold, 81 expired items on the shelves, and mold found inside the slushy machine.
