VIDOR —
Nominations are now being accepted for two of the chamber’s most distinguished awards.
The Vidor Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual banquet on Thursday, Jan. 31, inside the Parish Hall of Our Lady of Lourdes, 1600 N. Main St. in Vidor. Several awards are presented in various categories, including Citizen of the Year and Chamber Member of the Year.
The nominations for the Citizen of the Year award and the Chamber Member of the Year award are due by 5 p.m., Monday, Dec. 31.
The Citizen of the Year must be a person who is visible within the community through various deeds and efforts, such as volunteering to assist organizations and groups, as well as promoting Vidor and the surrounding areas.
The Vidor Chamber of Commerce Member of the Year should meet many of these same requirements.
