VINTON, La. —
Tom Gier, author of Lasting Impressions, explained the art of fingerprinting during a book-signing at the Fontenot Memorial Library located at 1402 Center St. in Vinton, La. on Saturday.
The book was first published May 2012 and is now in the third printing.
Gier has already started work on his third book while waiting to publish his second book.
The second book is a sequel to Lasting Impressions.
The stories in the book are inspired by actual cases he has been involved with, the names are all changed to protect both the families of the victims and the defendants.
“They have been through enough already,” Gier said.
Gier was recently invited as a visiting lecturer for a class at Lamar State College - Orange.
The author is planning a book-signing at Reader’s Choice located at 2407 MLK Jr. Dr. in Pinehurst in the near future.
Gier’s book is available at Reader’s Choice and Amazon.com.
