1 death reported after fire engulfs Texas home
MURPHY, Texas (AP) — A police chief says one person has been found dead in a house that caught fire in Murphy.
Dallas-Fort Worth television station WFAA reports Police Chief G.M. Cox said a preliminary investigation indicates that "the fatality is not associated with the fire."
The cause of death of the victim, whose name wasn't released, remains under investigation.
Cox says the home was fully engulfed in flames upon arrival Sunday morning.
Murphy is about 18 miles north of Dallas.
