ABILENE, Texas —
A worker at an oilfield services company in West Texas has died after he was struck by a tank being loaded on to a trailer.
The Taylor County Sheriff's office on Tuesday identified the victim as 38-year-old Thomas Blain Stewart from Smithville.
Lt. John Cummins says Stewart was helping load the trailer Monday night at Abilene Pipe when the tank rolled. Cummins says Stewart suffered a head injury and was dead at the scene.
Cummins says Stewart had been living in nearby Buffalo Gap while working for Abilene Pipe.
