Ushers Program
The Usher Board of Salem United Methodist Church will be celebrating its 4th annual ushers program at 3 p.m., Sunday, April 26, at the church at 402 John Ave. Rev. C.W. Crawfore, pastor of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, will be the guest speaker. The public is invited to attend.
Revival
MacArthur Heights Baptist Church, 3600 Nightingale St. in Orange, invites the public to attend its church revival at 10:50 a.m. and 7 p.m., Sunday, April 26; and 7 p.m. nightly, April 27 through April 29. There will be a Bible study and luncheon at 11 a.m., April 27 through April 29 with The Cherry Family.
Annual homecoming
Full Gospel Holy Temple, 1417 N. Ninth St., begins its annual homecoming with Sunday services and eating on the grounds, Sunday, April 26. Night services on April 28 will be at the church, while night services April 29 through May 1 will be at Joe Ware Plaza at 316 Park St. All night services begin at 8 p.m. Call 409-883-5125 for more information.
Gospel singing
Harvest Chapel, 1305 Irving St. in West Orange, invites the public to its monthly gospel singing at 7 p.m., Friday, May 1. Bring your songs, tapes, CD’s, or instruments. Fellowship and food will follow. Call 409-882-0862 for details.
Worship Service
First Baptist Church of West Orange invites the public to worship at 10:30 a.m. every Sunday in the Fellowship Hall of the church. The sanctuary is still damaged and unable to accommodate services. Rev. Herb Thompson is pastor.
Worship Services
Colonial Christian Community Church, located at 4301 N. 27th St inside Econo Lodge Hotel in Orange, invites the public to attend its weekly services. Sunday worship begins at 10:30 a.m., while Prayer is from 10 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Choir rehearsal is held at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, and mid-week services are at 6:30 p.m., Thursday.
FUMC services
Members and visitors to First United Methodist Church Orange will meet in the Praise Center for Sunday services during continued restoration from Hurricane Ike damage. Sunday services begin with the Contemporary Service at 8:55 a.m. followed by the “One-Room” group Sunday school class at 9:50 a.m. and our Traditional service at 11 a.m. Services will be held in the Praise Center until further notice. The public is welcome to attend.
First Church of God
Due to Hurricane Ike, First Church of God, located at 911 Main in Orange, is now conducting services at the Family Worship Center, located at 2300 41st St. in Pinehurst. Services are 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Call Pastor Thorne at 409-883-6802 for details.
Lord’s Kitchen
New Beginnings Outreach Ministry, located at 1512 15th St., has reopened its Lord’s Kitchen from noon to 1 p.m., every Saturday, with meals to the public. All are invited.
Garage sale
Faith United Methodist Church will hold a garage sale in the building at the corner of Park Avenue and 14th Street from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., May 1 and May 2. Proceeds go to the Building Fund for the new church campus on Martin Luther King Drive.
City-wide revival
A city-wide revival is being held May 4 through May 8 at two churches in Orange. Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, located at 612 N. Third St. in Orange, will be the host location of a nightly service at 7 p.m. each day with Rev. S.T. Hilliard of St. Luke Baptist Church in Houston speaking. El Bethel Baptist Church, located at 704 N. 12th St. in Orange, will be the site of a daily service at 11:45 a.m. with Rev. Ervin C. Victoria. The public is invited to attend.
Women’s Conference 2009
The Power Praise Christian Center will be host to the 2009 Women’s Conference at 7 p.m., nightly, May 6 through May 9. A workshop will be held at 10 a.m., May 9, followed by a luncheon at 1 p.m. The public is invited to worship. Call 409-779-9336 for details.
Mediterranean Festival
St. Michael Orthodox Church, located at 690 15th St at North Street in Beaumont, will have a Mediterranean Festival on Saturday, May 16, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. There will be food, music, arts and crafts. Tickets are $10 and are available from church members. For more information call 409-838-4951.
Revival
First Assembly of God, located at 201 Roberts Ave. in Bridge City, will have a revival at 7 p.m., nightly, May 16 through May 18, and also at 10:45 a.m., Sunday, May 17. Call 409-735-4810 or visit www.bcfirstag.com for details.
